A small quantity of Roman pottery dating to the 2nd century was recovered

Full Description

{1}2 pottery sherds were recovered from the spoil during the refurbishment of the old school: 1 small sherd of C2nd Samian and 1 sherd probably early C2nd. No open trenches were seen so any features, if present, were not recorded.

{2}A small quantity of pottery of the 2nd century AD was recovered in August 1989 during refurbishment of the school.
