{2} The Towcester Egyptian 'alabastron' may have a parallel in the Wood Burcote alabaster Egyptian bowl. Mrs Woodfield suggests that the bowl may have been used at the Temple of Isis. These objects would appear to be high status and are almost unique in Britain.
