Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
In 1976 excavations discovered rubbish pits and drains of medieval date set back from the street frontage. A later boundary wall seems to have provided support for a lean-to bakery. Evidence was also found for the manufacture of clay pipes on or close to the excavated area in the post-medieval period.
