Full Description

{1} Medieval pottery of 12th-century date onwards, a well, walls and possible quarry pits were observed during the construction of an underpass in 1971 to the east of the Horsemarket;

{2} Several pipe trenches off the Mayorhold revealed walls and quarry pits of medieval date;

{3}No clearer report on how remains were revealed or when;
