Full Description
{1} Part of a major series of trenches dug in 1975 for a new water main. A layer of brown soil with charcoal at a depth of 1.70m to at least 2.00m. Several fragments of daub-like material were found as well as many small molten bronze fragments, a piece of lead and two late medieval sherds of pottery. Probably the site of a metalworker's workshop.
