Full Description

{1}Area of archaeological deposits limited to circa 1m x 2m due to post medieval disturbance in form of a filled-in cellar to west & well to south; Medieval levels lay at depth of 0.9m & comprised partially robbed stone wall; possibly front wall of medieval building facing onto Woolmonger Street; beneath the wall was posthole containing late Saxon Northampton ware & middle Saxon pottery; the Saxon deposits were 1.3m below modern ground surface;,
