Full Description

{1} Excavations for field drainage brought to light a section of low stone walling, following the parish boundary. At one end was a monolith of part dressed stone carved on opposite faces with the letters P and W. It is thought that the stone wall was built to replace the earlier balks which had been ploughed out; this probably happened in the 18th century. Plan and photos.
