Summary

Two Medieval pottery kilns, part of the Potterspury pottery industry, were identified during construction work at 44 Moor End Road in 1979. The kilns were in production during the 14th - early 15th century. The pottery produced was very similar to that found at two other kilns in Yardley Gobion in 1973 (SP 74 SE 53). Tiles were also fired at these kilns.
