Summary

Roman pottery and tile of 1st/2nd century date found on the surface on various occasions during the 1960s. A feature described as a pronounced agger runs in the direction of Watling Street. Medieval pottery is also reported from the area.

{1} Roman and medieval pottery, beside the stream at SP761420.

SP 761421. Roman tile and coarse pottery, 1st and 2nd century were surface finds in Feb 1963, May 1966 and Oct 1967. A pronounced agger
runs from here in an easterly direction to Watling Street
