Full Description

{1} Trial excavations in 1988 as part of the Raunds Survey discovered 18/19th century limestone quarries over 2m deep. Sufficient areas of the bedrock survived to establish that the area was unoccupied prior to quarrying. 3 sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from the spoil.
