Full Description

{1} Lithic scatter of various cores, flakes and blades observed during ploughing and seeding in December 1992 and February 1993. At 55 metres above mean sea level on an Ironstone/sand west-facing slope. Flintwork included:
A poor quality, light grey flint axe fragment.
A light grey flint axe fragment, completely reworked into an oval/diamond-shaped item. Possibly votive.
A black flint blade flake saw. Notched on both edges, with "sickle gloss" along the whole length of one edge. Length 52mm, breath 10-13mm, height 8mm.
A discoidal knife of good quality blue/black flint
A damaged leaf shaped arrowhead of mottled brown flint. Length 54mm, breath 35mm, height 9mm.
An axe reshaping flake of blue/black flint.
Two flint flake knives.
