Full Description

{1} An "entrenchment " behind the church is shown on the 1688 map.

{2} Earthworks. Bridges records "vestiges of old trenches" north of Brixworth church. No trace of these now remains, as the area has been worked for ironstone.

{6} There has been extensive ironstone mining north of Brixworth Church, since Bridges's day. No antiquities are now evident.
