Full Description

{1} Excavation by P.Everson in 1972, Vicarage garden. Two small clay hearths and 150+ sherds of early Saxon pottery were revealed. Also part of a loomweight and spindle-whorl were recovered. Possibly associated with monastic or pre-monastic occupation.
