Full Description

{1} Lead seal-matrix. 40mm long by 24mm wide. Found in the garden of 2 Newman Street. The seal has the legend S PRIORATUS DE ALLODIO-the seal of the Priory of Les Alleuds (France), dedicated to St. Peter. The object has been seen by the British Museum and is dated to the late 13th or early 14th century.
