Full Description

{1} 70 and 72 High Street. Built of brick these two cottages originally formed a single one and a half storey cottage probably dating from the 18th century. It had a central doorway and windows with internal splays. Although the height of the buildings had been raised traces of the original trusses remained. These were of 'A' frame construction and the principals were halved in width immediately above the collar suggesting that the roof structure was of the clasped purlin type.
