Full Description

{1} Cotton Lane (shown on Eyres County map of 1780 as linking Higham Ferrers to Thrapston) survives as a substantial hollow way. Excavation shows part of road was made of a metalled surface. Connects Mill Cotton, Mallows Cotton and West Cotton. Partially preserved as bridleway and partly as metalled road at some locations.

{2} Early Middle Saxon pottery. Medieval stone wall and hearth, evaluation by S.Parry and M.Webster.
