Find Spot record 1895/0/1 - Unstratified Mesolithic Find

A pebble macehead with hour-glass perforation, said to be mesolithic, was found by a farm labourer in 1938.

{1} Find of July/August 1938. A quartzite macehead found in field OS148 by a farm labourer and given to Northampton Museum by V.Everard, the landowner. Field at SP979785. The macehead is still in Northampton Museum. It was picked up by a farm labourer when spreading manure

{6} The farm labourer could not be traced.
