Summary

Finds of Iron Age and Roman pottery suggest the possible site of a settlement. Burnt pebbles also present. Cropmarks of a cluster of polygonal ditched enclosures from two phases of activity can also be seen at this location on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. These remains may be associated with each other.

Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking recovered Iron Age and Roman pot sherds, as well as burnt pebbles; "extensive settlement".

{4} Cropmarks of a cluster of polygonal ditched enclosures from two phases of activity can also be seen at this location on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. These remains may be associated with each other.
