Find Spot record 1915/0/0 - Unstratified Romano-British Finds

Romano British pottery and limestone found over an acre during fieldwalking.

{1} A one acre scatter of Romano-British pottery and limestone. A dark depression to the east is possibly a contemporary pond.

{2} Fieldwalking identified an area of limestone with Romano-British pot sherds and coins at SP924705. The scatter covers a large area.

{3} Romano-British occupation remains with coarse, grey and colour-coated wares, and spreads of stone and pebbles.

{4} A large area of land is covered with Roman pottery and building stone.
