Full Description

{1} Series of low earthworks west of Lady Lane; includes rectangular platforms of houses lining the lane; these were possibly demolished to improve the view from the hall though the buildings had gone by 1834 although the hall's gardens were not extended until 1854.

{2} Finds of 5 medieval pottery sherds recovered from a tree-planting hole dug in 1980.

{3} No buildings are shown on the survey of AD1577 in the NRO.
