Full Description

(1-3) Unstratified Bronze flanged Axe. The exact findspot is uncertain. A copy of the axe is held at Northampton Borough Museum.

{4} This axe was originally in Oakham Grammar School museum; in 1965 the school collection was passed to Rutland County Museum where the axe is now on show. There is no documentation and nothing is known of the circumstances of the find.
