Full Description

{1} Middle Street and East Street used to lead south from Hall Town’s End down to The Green, only a small area of common pasture in 1703, but judging from the adjacent close called Great Green, probably once a much larger area of common grazing. The two roads joined at The Green and led on between the strips of the open fields down to the meadows alongside the Nene. Figs.2a+2b.
