Summary

A complex of cropmarks including ditched enclosures, probable hut circles, field systems and trackways have been identified on aerial photographs. Scatters of Roman pottery and stone have also been found across the area.

Full Description

{3} Roman settlement (SP 800558). Recent air photographs show a rectangular enclosure bounded by very broad ditches, with a smaller enclosure attached to one side, the whole covering 0.5 hectare.

{4} (SP 800559). Two conjoined rectangular enclosures recorded on AP in 1978.
