Full Description

{1} A post medieval coin hoard was found in 1960-61. It consisted of 183 silver coins dating from 1557 to 1644 and was found scattered over a field near to the old manor house in an area churned by cattle. Grid ref TL11258765. Finds now in Peterborough Museum.

{4} Enquiries at the Manor House revealed the coins were found just before the present occupiers took over. The area of the find is however known, and this was indicated at TL 1125 8765. Nothing has been found since.
