Full Description

{1} Finds made in 1738 from somewhere in the parish; two Romano-British urns, one with bones given to the Duke of Montagu (Broughton House).

{2}Possible Roman settlement (unlocated) possibly in or near the village. Stukeley recorded 'Roman urns and coins' as being frequently found at Polebrook, and certainly two urns, one containing bones, were found there in 1738.

{3} Two Roman urns, one containing bones, were found at Polebrook in 1738. The latter was given to the Duke of Montague at Boughton House.

{4} Roman urns and coins frequently found at Polebrook.

{5} Listed as 'doubtful if Roman'.
