Large amounts of Roman pottery allegedly found in and around an old pond and along the adjacent stream prior to 1960. This could not be confirmed upon later investigation

{1} Fieldwalking. Romano-British pot sherds found in bed of pond and down the line of the stream for some yards. Information provided 09/08/1960. TL028846.

{2} Much Roman pottery found in and around an old pond and along the adjacent stream.

{3} Near PILTON at TL 028 846, much Roman pottery in the bed of the pond, and down the line of the stream for some yards.

{4} Nothing seen or found at the indicated site. Mr. Londesborough has now left the area.
