Full Description
{1} Fieldwalking in 1966 identified limestone rubble and Romano-British pot sherds, including samian, grey wares and colour coated wares. Found by D.Jackson at TL003834.
{3) Roman settlement (TL 003834) W of the village on the S side of a small valley, on Cornbrash at 170 ft above OD. Several Roman coins, recorded but otherwise unlocated may have come from this site.
{4} Unlocated find of several Roman coins including one silver coin of Nero;
{5} The indicated site is under crop, there are no noticeable surface disturbances.
