Full Description

(4) A Palaeolithic implement, found at King's Langley near the railway, was believed to have come from Oundle with gravel for ballast. A visit to the pit proved unfruitful, but at Elton (TL0994) an ochreous pointed implement identical in colour and appearance was found.

{5} A Palaeolithic flint implement was found in a gravel pit south west of Oundle (possibly Elton Pit at TL090940).

{6} Hand-axe and flake from a gravel pit south-west of Oundle.
