Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking in First Barn Close during December 1979 and February 1980 produced finds of various dates, now in Northampton Museum. A few worked flints were found over the whole field. A scatter of Roman sherds, particularly grey ware, and a piece of quernstone was found in western quarter (SP646637). Nearby a scatter of gritty early-middle Saxon sherds was found (SP647637).
