Summary

Roman or pre-Roman pottery and a quernstone found 1969 when digging a slurry pit. A piece of 1st century Roman pottery was found in 1970 when the pit was deepened.

Full Description

{1} In the autumn of 1969 the digging of a slurry pit produced a portion of a quern stone and some pottery, either pre-Roman or Roman. When the pit was deepened in 1970 a piece of C1st AD Roman pottery was found.

{2} During the excavation of a pit some Roman pot sherds and part of a quern were found.
