A row of timber posts adjacent to the former course of the River Nene lay on the projected alignment of a ditched Roman trackway to the north-west and may be the remains of an associated bridge or wharf

Full Description
{1} Bridge or Wharf remains (?)(TL 04759264) NE of Perio Mill on the west side of the old course of the R. Nene. In about 1950, a row of timber posts some 25 m long and orientated NW-SE was found. The posts were 25-30 cm in diameter and were set 2-3 m apart. The row was on the projected line of the ditched trackway to the NW.
(Fotheringhay 25) and may be the remains of a bridge or wharf connected with it.
