Summary

Site of Mesolithic and Neolithic flint-working which covers about 20 hectares on either side of the parish boundary with Southwick and immediately northwest of the Stone Pit Lodge Complex. A thin scatter of worked flints including a Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead were found in this area.

Full Description

{1} Find reported by J.Hadman. A Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead 1 inch long with white patination.

{2} A Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead has been found at TL040915.

{3} TL 040 915: A Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead has been found(1978).

TL 039 933: Flint-working site. Covers about 20 hectares on either side of the parish boundary with Southwick and immediately northwest of the Stone Pit Lodge Complex on limestone and Clay at 22 metres above OD. A thin scatter of worked flints, including Mesolithic and Neolithic types, has been noted.
