Full Description

{1} In 1834 a dam ponded back a small lake which extended north-west and formed part of the landscaped park of Southwick Hall.

{2} There was a lake, which has now disappeared; its dam is on the corner of the road; bridge over stream.

{3} East of the village on the north side of Wych Spinney, is a low dam 45m long x 1.7m high; it spans the valley of a small east-flowing stream. The modern road runs on top of it. The dam ponded back a small lake which extended north-west and formed part of the landscaped park of Southwick Hall.
