Full Description

{1} Find; pre 1952; Green-grey in colour; 9ins long, 3ins wide & 1.5ins thick; approx weight 1.5lbs; finds drawing;

{2} A large polished stone axe of Group VI, Great Langdale type, was found in the parish before 1952;

{4} P.Childs (Keeper Northampton museum) confirmed that the above axe is in the musuem but stated that they had no record regarding the circumstances of find or precise siting.

{5} A large polished stone axe, see illustration, greeny-grey in colour, about 9ins long by 3ins wide, and 1 1/2ins thick, approximate weight 1 1/2 lbs. This axe originated from the Great Langdale (Group 6) stone axe factory(a).

{6} Large Ne. celt from King's Cliffe. Now in Northampton Museum.
