Full Description

{1}{2} "Odd" Romano-British pot sherds were found at Brixworth whilst excavating for ironstone, possibly from this area. The quarry was centred at SP74607143.

{3} Finds of Romano-British pot sherds including samian, and hair-pins, bronze buckles and bricks. The finds were from "a field which is only two fields distant on the north side of the church". Samian pottery was found within "wells".

{4} Local information states that c1900 the main ironstone working was to the north of All Saints Church in an area centred to SP 74607143. Northampton Museum have no siting evidence and cannot trace the
pottery.
