Full Description

{1} Bronze Age reddish handled beaker 5ins high & Bronze Age biconical beaker with everted rim and three zones of horizontal lines. Exhibited at the Society of Antiquaries 23/04/1891 by C A Markham. Only one vessel is handled, though Abercromby states two are.

{2} Prehistoric pottery from Brixworth includes three beakers, all discovered before 1918, probably during ironstone mining. One is handled {5}, one is biconical with an everted rim and three zones of horizontal lines and the third is a tall beaker.

{6} Two handled beakers from Brixworth, both in Northants Museum.

{7} Northants Museum has two beakers from Brixworth, only one of which is handled. The curator has no knowledge of Abercromby's second handled beaker, and supposes it to be a mistake. No precise find-spots are known.
