Full Description

{1} {2} {3} A Saxon silver penny of Cuthred (King of Kent 798-806) and Saxon decorated bronze pin found c 1877. The pin is about 6 inches long, of iron with remains of silver plating on it. It has carved and ornamented swivel head.

{4} Originally said to be to be from church yard, in fact from ironstone quarries.

{5} Three pennies of Edward the Elder, also from Brixworth, and a penny of Aethelred from the Churchyard.

{4} {6} One Saxon penny of Aethelward (poss= Aethelweard of 9th century) and two Saxon bronze pins from 'near Brixworth'.
