Full Description

{1} Court Rolls record that St James' Hospital stood on the Rushden side of the parish boundary, and was separated from Higham Ferrers by an ancient road (now a field path), running along the boundary in the direction of Newton Bromswold, and bounded on the west by the highway from Higham Ferrers to Rushden (ie. in the area of SP960678).
