Full Description

{1} Settlement identified by significant find scatter. Dark area with burnt stone, a few sherds etc lying in the Thorpewood closes. The usual woodland sparse site on spur. A hollow near that is probably a linear glacial feature. Probably noted when the gas pipe went through as the Agent said Romans had been found.

{2} Late Iron Age and/or Romano-British ditches and pits. Pottery and iron slag was found within some features. The features extended for about 160m along the pipeline route.
