Full Description

{1} A few Roman pottery sherds were found in a trench sectioning ridge and furrow;

{3} Roman sherds were revealed during preliminary excavation by Hall and Nickerson at 900614 in the parish of Strixton

{4} Mr Hall said the pottery was found in a trench cut to section rig and furrow. There were only a few sherds and the find was considered of only minor importance.
