Find Spot record 3304/0/1 - Unstratified Romano-British Finds

Surface finds of Roman 2nd-4th century AD pottery, roof tile, iron slag and a stone scatter indicate the possible site of a building.

{1} Fieldwalking undertaken 12/12/1965 identified a stone scatter, Roman pottery including Samian, tiles and iron slag.

{2} Puts finds 100m to east, as recorded in source {4}, not source {3}.

{3} Roman sherds found in Yardley Hastings parish at SP874562 by field walking in December 1965 and spring 1966.

{6} The sherds were dated from the 2nd to 4th century. Iron slag and a stone scatter were also found.

{7} R Hollowell confirms the area but has since disposed of the finds. Now under corn stubble; no surface finds made
