Fieldwalking survey undertaken in 1965 identified Roman pottery, including samian, fragments of roof tiles, unidentified iron objects, part of a quern and two coins as well as a spread of limestone rubble.

Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking survey undertaken 12/12/1965 identified a limestone scatter and Romano-British pottery including Samian ware, as well as Roman roof tile, two gold coins of Nero-Vespasian and Gallienus and iron objects.

{2} Roman pottery, including samian, fragments of roof tiles, unidentified iron objects, part of a quern and two coins have been found near an area of limestone rubble.

{6} R Hollowell confirms the area and retains all the finds. The site is under pasture; no surface finds made during investigation.
