St Neots ware jug.

{1} 24 Ashby Road

{2} A complete St. Neots ware jug is said to have been found in a pit in Ashby Road; now lost.

{4} At St Neots (Saxo-Norman ware) jug was found in a pit at 24 Ashbury (? Ashby) Road, Yardley, Hastings.
(SP 865572) and is now in Northampton museum.

{5} Northampton Museum have no record of this jug and the present occupier of 24 Ashby Castle Road, Yardley, Hastings knows nothing about it. There is no garden to the front of the property and the find has been centred to the small garden at the rear SP 86545720; no pit is evident.
