Full Description
{1} Large sections of Roman0-British mosaic found in rubble in house in Woodnewton; now dumped in Newton Spinney;
{2} It is possible that these mosaic pieces originally came from Apethorpe Roman villa and were then used as infill in a fireplace [in house in Woodnewton?] JJ has recorded 2 pieces of intact mosaic from Newton Spinney: they were dumped on the south side of the wood, possibly in the south east corner.
