Monument record 3517/0/1 - Site of probable late Iron Age settlement

Late Iron Age pits were recorded

{1}In the south part of the parish, on Boulder Clay at 65m above OD. Late Iron Age pits are recorded;

{3} IA B pits revealed by preliminary excavation by Nickerson & Hall at 898 607 in Bozeat parish.

{4} Mr Hall indicated the correct site of the excavation at SP 8994 6076 which is in the adjacent parish. Finds were virtually non-existent and no further investigation has taken place by Hall. Indicated area now under pasture; no surface finds made.
