Full Description

{1} An Iron Age pot ("late Celtic jug") and Romano-British "light-coloured jugs" were found in 1892 between Cransley Wood and Mawsley Wood.

{3} Two light coloured Roman jugs and a third with late Celtic affinities found at Cransley are in Northants Museum.

{4} The vessels were found in 1892 between Cransley Wood and Mawsley Wood. (Cransley Wood SP 822767, Mawsley Wood SP 789765)

{6} Northampton Museum could offer no closer siting information.
