Full Description
{1} Fieldwalking recovered a sparse scatter of early-middle Saxon handmade gritty pot sherds and a few slightly shelly pot sherds. Possible soilmarks visible on RAF aerial photos of 1947.
{2} Saxon settlement (?)(SP 887647) E of the village, on clay at 75 m above OD. A small quantity of early Saxon pottery has been found here.
