Full Description

{1} Features revealed. Wooden waterpipe recovered from building operations; a 1m square trial trench dug by workmen revealed building foundations of ironstone blocks, part of the medieval grange of Crowland Abbey.

{2} Notes and photographs. Two walls were noted in an area immediately to the south of the standing building. It was suggested that a raised embankment in the same area may be the site of further medieval remains.
