Full Description
{1}The fieldname of "streetway" suggests that this is on the line of a Roman road; this is derived from C17th furlong name {3} at approx SP 872 653; the line is perpetuated in an open field headland ("Town Hadland") now partly followed by the modern hedgeline; it was also an old bridleway in the post medieval period {2}
