Full Description
{1} A Roman stone-lined well, dug 25ft deep was exposed. Several complete pots were found at the bottom of the shaft.
{2} A Roman stone-lined well with with an average internal diameter of 60cm and dug approx. 25m was exposed. Two complete jars found at the bottom suggest it was in use in the 2nd century.
{3} Roman well (SP 870817), within Weekley Hall Wood on Boulder Clay at 110m above OD. A well about 25m deep was discovered during ironstone-mining. Two complete jars at the bottom suggest that the well was in use during the 2nd cuntury.
